More people are looking to move to San Antonio in 2022 (especially from Austin!) and rents in San Antonio aren’t going down. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rental prices, finding an apartment in San Antonio can be quite the experience. Taking inspiration from our sister publication SFGate in San Francisco, MySA reviews local properties showcasing the best, the worst, and everything in between right here in the Alamo City. Let’s guess the rent.
The listing says this 1,795 square foot four-bedroom home is updated. That’s an understatement. The house looks almost new, combining old and new elements to give us this modern house with upgraded facilities.
When you peek inside, you might be sold for rental, but can you afford the monthly price? Let’s go.
We start in this living room with furniture in almost perfect colors.
craigslistThe most common spaces in the house are all in an open space concept. This almost perfectly modern living design gives the home a refreshed look.
But there is something strange in some photos. It’s almost as if furniture and shadows line the strange valley.

The open concept places the dining room between the kitchen and the living room.
craigslistThis odd look is even more apparent in this photo of the dining room which sits between the kitchen and the living room. The perspective and shadows of the table make the furniture look like it was photoshopped into the picture.
I understand. All of these houses, especially newly renovated houses, are not fully furnished. Tampered images are only part of the sale as long as they don’t alter the imperfections.

New stainless steel appliances come with this kitchen.
craigslistNew stainless steel appliances complete this upgraded kitchen with subway tile backsplashes and butcher block countertops.

This updated bathroom and walk-in shower uses black steel fixtures.
craigslistThis walk-in shower looks attractive with more subway tiles and is a welcome addition to the brushed steel faucets.

So many windows in a bedroom seem almost too good to be true.
craigslistOKAY. The fan could have at least been placed above the bed or more towards the center of the room. But hey, we have a lot of natural light coming in.

A small gazebo in the back makes this yard almost perfect.
craigslistWe have a backyard with this week’s list that also comes with its own gazebo. Comfortable.
So how much will you pay for this four-bedroom house? The Craigslist post, listed by agent Sam Evans with Bungalow, says you’ll pay $3,000 per month for this rental.
Zumper doesn’t have an average price for a four-bedroom home in the area, but the average rent for a three-bedroom home is $1,845.
